SIDEBAR: Defining parameters
DEFINING PARAMETERS TradeStation's EasyLanguage has a number of restrictions on the use of variable names. Variable names cannot exceed 20 characters in length, cannot use spaces and cannot use special characters (such as the characters above the number keys on a standard IBM keyboard). In addition, variable names cannot be one of TradeStation's reserved words; for example, the variable name delta , which is a TradeStation reserved word, cannot be used for that purpose. These restrictions make abbreviations necessary for the variables in this article, and some of them may confuse the reader. To help alleviate any confusion and clarify the article, here's a list of variable definitions.
